CHAIR REPORT – AUGUST 2010
I’m an alcoholic, member of the Tamarac group & my name is Gary L. My sobriety date is November 9th 1997 & I am honored to serve District 9 as your chair. Our Carry the Message Day was held last night August 21st here at NSU. What a great job Bob H. & his committee did. Thank you for all the planning & hard work you & your committee did. I am sure everyone enjoyed the Potluck Dinner, the great displays, & the great entertainment. The Support Your Services Committee is very busy planning the annual Spaghetti Dinner to be held September 25th here at NSU Cafeteria. Please get involved and help them out as we always expect a huge turnout. Gay will have more in her report along with tickets for everyone to sell at their meetings and home groups. Flyers are available as well to bring back to your groups. The next Assembly will be held in Sarasota at the Hyatt Regency Sarasota on October 8th-10th. There are flyers available here for you to make your reservations. Let’s put our Room and Ride Coordinator Jan S. to work finding roommates and rides for everyone. We can carpool and share rooms to save money and gas. If you need a roommate or have room in your car, please let Jan know. I believe there are still openings in the women & men GSR rooms for Saturday night. Please see Jan if you’d like to use the room. Remember District 9 funds the room for Saturday night. As of now I have not received the motions for the Assembly. As soon as I get them I will email them to you guys so you can get your groups conscience on the motions & bring that to the Assembly Sunday morning. We have all been so busy over the last couple of months with many events & conventions. Thank you to each & every one of you for your dedication, hard work, & love for District 9. We still have a few more events so let’s keep that willingness & enthusiasm going into these last few months of the year. May God continue to bless each & every one of you.
